Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

The City of Woonsocket is a designated entitlement community funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to participate in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. These funds are allocated to address a wide range of unique community development needs such as affordable housing, anti-poverty programs, expansion of economic opportunities, and infrastructure development, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. The Housing & Community Development Division ensures the proper administration of these funds.
