Informational session on sale of water to Invenergy scheduled for 1/6 at 6:30 pm

Woonsocket, RI: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt and Council President Daniel M. Gendron announced today that the informational public hearing regarding the offer from Invenergy to purchase water from the City of Woonsocket to supply the proposed Clear River Energy Center project has been scheduled for 6:30 pm in the auditorium of Woonsocket High School. Doors will open at 5:00 pm. Woonsocket residents are encouraged to attend this informational session, which will feature an overview presentation of the offer from Invenergy and a chance for the public to ask questions about the proposal.

 

Friday’s informational public hearing is an opportunity for Woonsocket residents to gather further information and make comments regarding the sale of the City’s water to Invenergy. Meeting attendees are kindly asked to allow Woonsocket residents the first opportunity for seating and to ask questions.
