Woonsocket to Celebrate Earth Day with Neighborhood Cleanup

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today announced plans for Woonsocket’s 2017 Earth Day Cleanup in recognition of the national environmental advocacy day. This year, the City of Woonsocket is sponsoring a neighborhood clean-up in Woodlawn Cemetery on April 15, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

“This year’s neighborhood cleanup is a great way to celebrate Earth Day and support our efforts to maintain a clean, green, and healthy community,” said Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt. “I look forward to joining neighbors, friends, and residents in cleaning up a section of the City as we recognize the importance of the environment we live in.”

The City will provide gloves, trash pickers, and bags for all participants. For more information, contact Michael Debroisse at mdebroisse@woonsocketri.org or (401) 767-8880.
