City of Woonsocket Municipal Court

The Woonsocket Municipal Court was created pursuant to RIGL 45-2-25. The court is legally authorized to adjudicate certain state moving traffic violations, all local Woonsocket ordinance offences (ie parking, zoning,minimum housing code violations, animal control matters, and other miscellaneous ordinance violations, etc). 

If you are charged with a state moving traffic violation, READ THE SUMMONS CAREFULLY. Some violations are adjudicated and payable exclusively in the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal located at 670 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. 

If you fail to appear in court on the assigned date and time, your license to operate a motor vehicle may be suspended.

Fines can be paid during the week at: Woonsocket City Hall, Treasury Department with Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit Card.
