City of Woonsocket to Participate at Job Fair in Collaboration with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training

WOONSOCKET: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt announced that the City of Woonsocket will be participating in the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training’s upcoming Woonsocket job fair.

The job fair will be held at DLT’s Woonsocket Career Center, 219 Pond Street on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Jobs available with the City of Woonsocket are: Public Safety Telecommunications Clerk, Animal Control Officer, Senior Equipment Mechanic/Department of Public Works, Utility Person/Department of Public Works and City Tax Assessor.

Other Participating Employers are Landmark Medical Center, the Brickle Group, General Dynamics Electric Boat and Toray Plastics.

Registration is not required in advance; walk-ins are welcome. Participants should bring a resume to the event and be prepared to interview with employers.

Linda Plays, Director of Human Services said, “We are very fortunate to the State of Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training Career Center in Woonsocket for its accessibility to our residents. We are also planning more job fairs in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training in the future.”
