COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility and Available Local Clinics Scheduled

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has updated its vaccine administration strategy to ensure the availability of COVID-19 boosters to all eligible populations. The current revision has taken place in response to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) & Center for Disease Control’s latest guidance regarding COVID-19 booster shot administration.

The City of Woonsocket will be partnering with the Town of North Smithfield to offer “Moderna” COVID-19 booster clinics at Monsignor Gadoury School 1371 Park Avenue in Woonsocket.

The guidance for “Moderna” boosters is as follows:

People who received the first two doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines can get a booster dose six months or more after their second dose if they are:
• Immunocompromised
• Anyone age 65 years or older
• Anyone age 18 or older who lives in long-term care settings
• Anyone age 18 or older who has an underlying medical condition
• Anyone age 18 or older who is at a higher risk of developing COVID-19 due to living or working in a high-risk setting

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinics will be offered on the following dates: (These clinics are for Moderna Only)

Appointments are required for these two clinics and can be scheduled utilizing the links above for each date or as follows:

Register at www.vaccinateri.org Enter “Woonsocket” in the “Search by Name Location” box and register for the date and time that is convenient for you.
