Labor Day Trash and Recycling Pickup Schedule

WOONSOCKET, RI:  The City of Woonsocket announced that there will be no curbside trash or recycling collection on Labor Day Monday, September 4.  Curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day during the week of September 4 through September 8.

The Woonsocket Recycle Facility will be closed over the Labor Day Weekend from Saturday, September 2 through Monday, September 4.

Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt stated, “Curbside collection of yard waste, such as grass clippings, small branches and leaves, resumes the week of September 25 and continues through the end of November.  Until then, please do not place any yard waste bags in the sidewalk areas.”
Michael Debroisse, Superintendent of Solid Waste, stated, “Residents are reminded that any overloaded trash cart(s) or recycling cart(s) placed at curbside cannot be serviced.  In those cases, it is the responsibility of the property owner or tenant to properly dispose of the waste at their own expense.”
