Located at the First Universalist Church, the Center for the Arts and Spirituality is a non-profit, interfaith community center providing affordable arts education and events as well as resources for mental, physical, and spiritual health. All courses and events at the Center are free or for a sliding scale fee - you choose how much you are able to pay.

On Friday nights, the Center supports a full season of monthly acoustic/folk nights with performers from around New England in The Dining Room- the basement coffeehouse. Between performances, you can enjoy The Grey Room - the Center's art gallery that displays the work of area artists. You can also enroll in classes and workshops in the arts, music, spirituality and health.

Courses at the Center include yoga, tai chi, meditation, and massage, as well as piano, voice, guitar and drum lessons, discussion and support groups on everything from parenting to aging, and weekly hip-hop workshops for teens. They also offer a unique "Art as Meditation" series of courses that focus on creativity as a tool for fun and relaxation, rather than a practice that only "artistic" people do!
