The primary goal of the Board of Canvassers is to work jointly with the State Board of Elections and the Secretary of State to provide the highest level of integrity in the electoral process. The Board operates in accordance with Title 17 of the Rhode Island General Laws and the Charter of the City of Woonsocket.
The Board of Canvassers reports to the Office of the Secretary of State Elections Division and to the RI Board of Elections.
Our office is located on the third floor of City Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM until 4:30PM. Calls can be directed to (401) 767-9223 and general correspondence can be directed to electionclerk@woonsocketri.org
