BIG, BLUE BUG, OOPS, BLOCKS ADDED TO PLAY COMPONENT AT WORLD WAR II VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
WOONSOCKET, R.I.: The City will unveil its new Big Blue Blocks imaginative play component to the children’s play area near the Splash Pad located at World War II Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.
“Woonsocket children are going to love exploring with this new component added to the park. The Blue Blocks will be available to children in World War II Veterans Memorial Park every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon weather permitting,” said Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt. “The innovative design of this product encourages ingenuity and imagination. Additionally, the City is proud to partner with Rhode Island company Eco-Global which makes and owns this fabulous product.”
The soft, oversized bright blue blocks are designed to stack and interlock providing children with endless opportunities for creative thinking. The City will hold the unveiling at 2:30 p.m. prior to the start of the Woonsocket Police Department’s National Night Out event which will be held in the park from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
