Christmas holiday rubbish and recycling pickup schedule
Woonsocket, RI: In observance of the Christmas holiday, curbside trash collection will be delayed one day and the Woonsocket Material Recycle Facility will be closed over the holiday weekend. Trash collection schedule and facility hours are as follows:
Friday, December 23: Normal trash and recycle collection day; Woonsocket Material
Recycle Facility open 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Saturday, December 24: Woonsocket Material Recycle Facility closed.
Sunday, December 25: Woonsocket Material Recycle Facility closed.
Monday, December 26: No trash and recycle collection; Woonsocket Material Recycle
Facility closed.
December 26 through December 30: One day delay in trash and recycle collection.
Residents are reminded that wrapping paper should be recycled. Excess recyclables including cardboard and paper can be brought to the Woonsocket Material Recycle Facility, located at 943 River Street, free of charge for all Woonsocket residents (normal hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm; closed 12/24 - 12/26).
