Summer Car Cruize rolls onto Main Street

WOONSOCKET, RI: Today, Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt announced the return of the Summer Car Cruize nights, scheduled to be held on two Wednesday evenings in August and September. Summer Car Cruize nights will be held on Main Street from 5 pm to 8 pm on August 24, and September 7.

 

“The Summer Car Cruize nights is a favorite local event and a great way to enjoy summer in Woonsocket,” said Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt. “The venue for this fun event, historic downtown Main Street, provides a perfect backdrop that showcases our City. Residents and visitors of all ages will have an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of our community.”

 

The first of two Car Cruizes will take place on August 24, on Main Street, which will be closed to all traffic during the event, beginning at 5 pm. In addition to a great line-up of classic and exotic muscle cars, music will be provided by JAGS Entertainment. The second Car Cruize is scheduled for September 7, and will feature a live 6 piece oldies band, The Reminisants. Hungry patrons will be able to stop in at several Main St. eateries including New York Lunch, Dominoes, Main Street Café, Tandoori Restaurant and several food trucks during the Car Cruizes.

 

Any event cancelations due to rain will be announced in the afternoon on the day of the event. In the event of rain, the September 7, Cruize night will be rescheduled to September 8. For more information, please contact Linda Plays at (401) 767-9282.
