What if I have more trash than will fit in the burgundy trash container?
Experience in a range of communities has shown that the 64-gallon cart is more than adequate for most homes, presuming you recycle paper, glass, plastic and other recyclable materials. All trash must fit into the container with the lid closed. No additional bags or barrels will be collected. If you can't fit everything you have a few options:
- Take advantage of the new services monthly Bulky Items and White Goods Collection (see program guidelines)
- Check in the Yellow Pages under Rubbish Removal
- Use locally available transfer stations
